UCLA Post-doc in Psychoneuroimmunology & Depression Research!

The UCLA Laboratory for Stress Assessment and Research (PI: George Slavich) seeks to hire a full-time post-doctoral fellow as soon as possible. This is an NIMH-funded position, with full salary and benefits. Applicants should be fMRI trained and interested in studying neural, immunologic, and genomic mechanisms underlying risk for depression and related health problems in adolescence. Responsibilities will include helping lead and manage an existing multi-level fMRI study protocol, with an outstanding team of RAs; scanning participants; processing and analyzing fMRI data; examining associations between neural, immunologic, genomic, and/or behavioral data; presenting at conferences; and preparing manuscripts for publication. Necessary qualifications: Ph.D. or expected Ph.D. in neuroscience, psychology, or related field; strong prior training in social, affective, and/or cognitive neuroscience, with the ability to independently scan participants; strong fMRI task development and programming skills; evidence of past scientific productivity and future promise; and an interest in immunology and/or social genomics. The lab is based at the Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology in the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA (https://www.uclastresslab.org).
